1. John Dick - April 24, 2009

Today, during my lunch break, I took some time out to listen to the entire recordings listed at Solstice’s Website. I highly recommend to anyone to do the same. Very impressive. I loved the colorful vocal harmonies.

As I listened, I thought of one tune that I would enjoy hearing from Solstice. It is one of my favorite Irish tunes, “Down by the Sally Gardens.” I think this little song would fit beautifully with the Solstice voices. I thought this this request as I recalled one of my favorite recordings of “Sally Gardens” by singer and harpist Orla Fallon. You can find this recording at YouTube (there are also plenty others).

Sorry we cannot attend your performance at the April 25 festival, as we live on the east coast. Thanks for posting your recordings on the internet so we could enjoy them. I say, “Well done, Solstice.” Keep on singing your wonderful songs.
